The Original True Miniature
Pinscher
Was a very stout in appearance looking dog more than today's refined
breed.
It had a larger body and a coat that was more coarse and it was not a
smooth or refined dog in general.
Todays dog is a result primarily of breeders neglecting to realize that
the dog was a working breed and not a toy breed.
With years of breeding the old natural look went away for the more
refined small breed we see in today's Miniature Pinscher..
The
body of the Miniature Pinscher can be more comical with it's long legs
and small body. Some can have a little square body with a small face
and large eyes.
With the result of the flexible, agile body, they
can almost curl up in any position and be comfortable. They love to lie
under the covers.

After
many years of German breeding
They
came up with a refined maintained breed.
Though today's standard is smaller than the
original.
Due to comon belief there is no such thing as the "min pin"
which a lot of people think is a smaller version of the Miniature
Pinscher.
The so called "min pin" is just a abbreviation (like NY for New
York). Read
